Where You'll Go

Explore Uganda

Fifteen unmissable corners of the Pearl of Africa, grouped the way our itineraries are built — parks, water, and culture.

North-Western Uganda

Murchison Falls National Park

Uganda's largest park, where the Nile crashes through a 7-metre gorge before drifting past hippos and crocodiles.

South-Western Uganda

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Tree-climbing lions, the Kazinga Channel's hippo pods, and crater-studded savannah stretching to the Rwenzoris.

Karamoja, Far North

Kidepo Valley National Park

Remote, rugged and rarely crowded — ostrich, cheetah and zebra roam beneath dramatic mountain backdrops.

South-Western Uganda

Lake Mburo National Park

Uganda's most accessible park — zebra, impala and eland grazing beside acacia-lined lakes, perfect for a short safari.

Western Uganda

Kibale National Park

The primate capital of East Africa — thirteen species including chimpanzees in dense, moss-draped rainforest.

South-Western Uganda

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

An ancient UNESCO rainforest sheltering over half the world's remaining mountain gorillas.

Jinja, Eastern Uganda

Source of the Nile

Stand where the world's longest river begins its 6,650-km journey, then raft its famous white-water rapids.

South-Eastern shoreline

Lake Victoria

Africa's largest lake — island-hopping, fishing villages and sunset cruises out of Entebbe and Jinja.

South-Western Uganda

Lake Bunyonyi

A terraced, island-dotted crater lake — Uganda's most beautiful spot to paddle a dugout canoe and unwind.

Kapchorwa, Eastern Uganda

Sipi Falls

Three tiered waterfalls cascading off Mount Elgon, framed by Arabica coffee farms and hiking trails.

Kampala

Kasubi Tombs

UNESCO World Heritage burial grounds of the Buganda kings, built in traditional thatched royal architecture.

Kampala

Uganda Museum

East Africa's oldest museum — musical instruments, royal regalia and the story of Uganda's many kingdoms.

Kampala

Ndere Cultural Centre

Live evenings of traditional dance, drumming and folklore performed by Uganda's celebrated Ndere Troupe.

Mengo, Kampala

Kabaka's Palace

The seat of the Buganda Kingdom since 1885, with the haunting underground Idi Amin torture chambers nearby.

Mukono, Central Uganda

Sezibwa Falls

A waterfall steeped in Buganda legend and ritual, set within a short, lush forest walk from Kampala.
